PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Western Connecticut State University softball freshman 2B Kendall Allen (Naugatuck) was honored as the Little East Conference (LEC) Co-Rookie of the Week or her outstanding play in the Wolves doubleheaders against St. Joseph (Conn.) and Keene State last week. She batted .455 (5-for-11) with four runs scored and an RBI in a 3-1 week for WestConn. She was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and one RBI as WestConn swept a LEC doubleheader from Keene State (7-4 and 8-1). The Wolves, coached by Heather Stone (18th Season), is currently 10-12 overall and tied with four other teams for second place in the LEC with a 2-2 mark against conference foes. The Wolves have a doubleheader coming up next on Thursday at Mount St. Mary at 3 p.m.
