Western Connecticut State University is suspending charges for all undergraduate applications through Jan. 1.
“Your future is full of possibilities, and at WestConn, we believe the first step toward achieving your dreams should be filled with excitement, not financial barriers,” said Melissa Stephens, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives. “By waiving application fees through Jan. 1, we’re opening the door even wider for students to discover all that WestConn has to offer. Whether you’re a high school senior beginning your college journey, a transfer student seeking new opportunities, or someone ready to return and finish what you started, this is your moment. With exceptional academic programs, a vibrant campus community, and a commitment to making a quality education accessible and affordable, there has never been a better time to explore your future at WestConn. Your story begins here, and we can’t wait to be part of it!”
While many universities have waived application fees for 30 days, WestConn decided to extend the program for three months. Eliminating the cost of applying reduces a potential financial barrier and makes the process to become a student at WestConn even easier. The university offers 52 undergraduate programs, 23 Div. III sports, and dozens of extra-curricular clubs to meet every interest. More than 4,500 students are enrolled at WestConn, an increase of 7% this fall.
Graduating high school seniors and others who haven’t enrolled in the past can apply with the common app here. Transfer and re-entry students can apply here. Admissions counselors are available at (203) 837-9000 and Admissions@wcsu.edu.
Prospective students are also encouraged to explore WestConn’s undergraduate programs, scholarships, and student resources by attending the university’s Open House on Saturday, Nov. 1, or by visiting WCSU.edu.
