WCSU to launch first Wolves Day of Giving on Feb. 22

DANBURY, Connecticut — Western Connecticut State University will launch its first Wolves Day of Giving on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, in a daylong event that will focus on the gift of education. All contributions made during Wolves Day of Giving will directly impact Western Connecticut State University and its students.

Multiple WCSU offices and departments will be part of Wolves Day of Giving and there will be a variety of competitive events to encourage participation. Donors can choose to support the WCSU Alumni Association, the Ancell School of Business, the Center for Student Involvement, the Department of Art, the Department of Communication and Media Arts, the Department of Creative and Professional Writing, the Education Department, the Department of Educational Psychology, the Department of Health Promotion and Exercise Sciences, the Division of Justice and Law Administration, the Macricostas School of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Music, the Department of Nursing, the Pride Center, the School of Professional Studies, the Recreation Department, the Department of Social Work, the Department of Theatre Arts, the UndocuAlly Task Force, the School of Visual and Performing Arts, the WCSU Foundation or WestConn Athletics.

Each participating department or office has its own landing page that includes a video and/or text explanation of “Our Story,” along with specific fundraising opportunities, and in some cases, a running tally of funds raised by competing faculty members. With only two days until Feb. 22, the anticipation for Wolves Day of Giving is building on campus. Leading up to the event, the university will reveal giveaways, campus events, and gift matches and challenges such as Power Hours.
