DANBURY, Connecticut — Western Connecticut State University announces its Theatre Arts productions for the 2023-24 season, with shows including “Something Rotten!,” “The Crucible,” “The Donkey Show: A Midsummer Night’s Disco” and more. All shows are open to the public and will be presented in WCSU’s Visual and Performing Arts Center, 43 Lake Ave. Extension, Danbury. - “Something Rotten! A Very New Musical,” the hilarious, blockbuster musical, running Oct. 13 – 22, 2023.
- “Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches,” Tony Kushner’s revered epic and Tony award winner for Best Play, running Nov. 3 – 12, 2023.
- “Three Sisters,” a play by Anton Chekhov, running Dec. 1 – 3, 2023.
- “Next to Normal,” a groundbreaking Pulitzer Prize winning musical, running from Feb. 23 – March 3, 2024.
- “The Donkey Show: A Midsummer Night’s Disco,” a disco and glitter-filled retelling of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” running from April 5 – 14, 2024.
- “The Crucible,” the famous play by Arthur Miller, running from April 19 – 28, 2024.
