WestConn Votes: Early Voting & Election Day Information

WestConn Votes: Early Voting & Election Day InformationAt a university, we ask questions, examine evidence, listen to different perspectives, and consider how our choices affect others. Voting is an opportunity to put those habits into practice and help shape the communities we share.

We encourage every eligible member of our community to learn about the candidates and issues, make a voting plan, and participate. Whether this is your first election or one of many, your voice belongs in the conversation.

Take a few minutes to review reliable sources, make space for respectful discussion, and decide when and where you will vote. Members of our community who are not eligible to vote can still contribute through learning, dialogue, and service.

Vote early on campus

WCSU Midtown Student Center
181 White Street, Danbury

Monday, October 19–Sunday, November 1
Daily, including weekends: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Extended hours October 27 & 29: 8 a.m.–8 p.m.

Who can vote here? Voters registered in Danbury, including eligible WCSU students and employees who are Danbury voters. Eligible Danbury residents who need to register can use same-day registration during early voting.

Attending or working at WCSU does not, by itself, make this your voting location. If you are registered in another Connecticut town, use that town’s early voting site.

Make your voting plan

1. Check your registration and location.
Confirm the address on your voter record and find your assigned Election Day polling place. Early voting and Election Day locations may differ.

2. Need to register?
Connecticut offers same-day registration during early voting and on Election Day for eligible residents. Bring proof of identity and residency. On Election Day, go to your town’s designated same-day registration site, which may be different from your polling place. Arrive early and allow time to complete the process.

3. Voting on Election Day?
Polls are open Tuesday, November 3, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Vote at your assigned polling place; do not assume it is the Student Center because you voted early there previously.

Registered outside Connecticut or voting absentee?
Check the election office for the state where you are registered. Connecticut voters can find current absentee ballot instructions through the state’s official voter information website.
