DANBURY, Connecticut — Prior to its annual Open House for prospective undergraduate and graduate students and their families on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, Western Connecticut State University will offer “Information Sessions and Tours” for those interested in learning more about the university with a campus tour in advance of the Open House.
Those events will be:
Saturday, Sept. 27 – Nursing Preview Day with Midtown campus tour: Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. in the Science Building on the Midtown campus,181 White St. in Danbury. The Information Session and Tour is an opportunity for students to visit campus and learn more about the university and our admissions process, and is specifically for students interested in the Nursing program at WCSU. Participants will have the chance to tour campus, nursing labs, and hear from faculty members. Saturday, Sept. 27 – Accelerated Nursing Preview Day with Midtown campus tour: Check-in will begin at 11 a.m. in the Science Building on the Midtown campus,181 White St. in Danbury. This program is specifically for students who have received their bachelor’s degree and are interested in earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Learn about the application process, prerequisites needed and scholarship funds which will be available to you. Sunday, Oct. 12: Super Sunday. High school juniors, seniors, and college transfers are invited to attend this free event. At Super Sunday, participants will get a look at WCSU’s facilities, including the state-of-the-art Visual and Performing Art Center, have an opportunity to take workshops with our esteemed faculty, get to know current students, and see a matinee of the MainStage musical, “American Psycho: The Musical” for free! During the Sunday, Nov. 2 Open House, participants will have the opportunity to meet with faculty and other representatives from WCSU’s academic programs, student groups and administrative offices. There will be a complimentary continental breakfast and tours of both the Midtown and Westside campuses.
