Graduating Senior Art Exhibition to open April 23 at WestConn

Senior Portfolio Exhibition graphicDANBURY, Connecticut — The Senior Portfolio Exhibition, featuring works by 18 Western Connecticut State University undergraduate Art majors who are candidates this year for the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, will open on Thursday, April 23, 2026, in The Gallery at the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the university’s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. A reception will be held on Thursday, April 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Viewing of the exhibition will be offered at the Gallery from Thursday, April 23, through Sunday, May 10. Gallery hours will be from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free to the reception and the exhibition, and the public is invited. An RSVP is requested at www.eventbrite.com/e/wcsu-2026-senior-portfolio-exhibition-tickets-1987457755648.

The WCSU Department of Art presents the Senior Portfolio Exhibition as a capstone experience for students pursuing the B.A. or B.F.A. in Art in one of four areas of concentration: graphic design, illustration, photography and studio arts (painting). This year’s exhibition will feature six art majors with a concentration in graphic design, four in illustration, six in studio arts, and two in photography. The following 2026 B.A. or B.F.A in Art candidates will show selected works:

  • Graphic Design: Brooks Baldwin, of Bethel; Danielle Cruz (B.F.A.), of Cross River, New York; Tessa Hilford (B.F.A.), of Ridgefield; April Maher, of Wappingers Falls, New York; Cayden Nadolny-Pallatto (B.F.A.), of Deep River; and Kamiyah Stackhouse, of Bronx, New York
  • Illustration: Yandra Arias, of Danbury; Hannah Huminski, of Danbury; Amy Nozius, of Stamford; and Gracen Regan, of Monroe Township, New Jersey
  • Studio Art: Ian Clifford, of Danbury; Anna Jordan, of Brookfield; Bianca Makaj, of Carmel, New York; Leah Sadler, of Brookfield; Divya Saini, of Danbury; and Tom Wolff, of Bethel
  • Photography: Lenee Brown, of Norwalk; and Anastasiia Vladymyrenko (B.F.A.), of Stamford
